Job Description: Palliative Care RN

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Palliative Care RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospice and palliative care, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a hospice and palliative care setting
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and document patient progress
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state of Ohio
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospice and palliative care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Education:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Completion of a hospice and palliative care certification program preferred
